This page gives an overall picture of weather conditions for the next week. More.. The National Weather Service also posts hazardous weather watches, warnings and advisories here so it is a good idea to check this page if conditions are conducive to thunder storms, heavy wind rain or flooding.

This is a very good last check before heading out to row. Once you have the radar view on your screen, it is a good idea to refresh it (F5 in IE) to be sure you are looking at the most recent data.

Check these sites for the actual recorded temperature, wind speed and direction at the last hour. You can also use Summary Sections of these sites to compare the recorded wind speed and direction over the last 24 hours with what you experienced while rowing during those same hours. This will help you understand the practical on-the-water meaning of the 48 hour temperature and wind forecasts. Both of these airports are a few miles from the ARC river stretch but the recorded data readings are close enough for this purpose. Concord Airport is closer.
